Is my Jack Russell puppy's unusual nose a deformity or cowlick?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 22 days old | 2 lbs

Hello, we are about to get a Jack Russel puppy, although the bridge of the nose looks unusual and different from all the other puppies. Could you please advise, is it some kind of deformity? Please see photos attached. Thank you in advance!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks like a cowlick- or an area where the hair Stands up funny. It is not uncommon to see these on the bridge of the nose. It’s just something to add to his character but it is not a problem. Good luck and kisses to your new pup!
