What to do about my Jack Russell's aggressive, growing elbow cyst?

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Male | neutered | 6 years and 3 months old | 17.6 lbs

A pea sized cyst under elbow on 6 year old jack russell has grown over 8 weeks became more aggressive in the past week and a half . Vet given antibiotics yesterday but no cells collected because he was behaving very excited.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This may be a benign or malignant growth. This could even be an infection. This cannot be completely assessed just by looking at pictures and usually requires sampling such as fine needle aspiration to determine its origin. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign.
