My dog has ear mites. Can I use hydrogen peroxide to clean her ears?

My dog has earmites I am pretty sure and I can't take her to a vet do you think I should clean her ear with hydrogen peroxide?

Dogs don't often get ear mites, this is typically seen more with cats. Hydrogen peroxide should never be placed in a dogs ear. This can inadvertently damage the healthy tissue. I wouild instead recommend instead purchasing ear mite medication from your local pet store. They likely have some available. You may even be able to find some online. If not, then its best to visit your local vet for ear mite medication. I hope that things clear up soon with your pet Zia. Best wishes and take care.

    No, do not do this! You will damage Diesel's ear. Yes, you should treat both for the ear mites. Keep in mind that ear infections in dogs can also be caused by yeast and bacteria, so he needs to see a vet to determine for sure if he does have ear mites. The vet can then prescribe treatment.
