Why is my 3-month-old cat discharging pus after vaccination?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi, I have suddenly noticed that my 3 months old cat is discharging pus like sticky liquid. It just happened all of a sudden. 3 days back he was vaccinated for Rabbis and other viruses as prevention. I've attached two photos where a little area is seen that is discharging liquid. Should I be at this moment? I'll take him to the vet tomorrow. Pls advice. I'm worried...

Depending on where the vaccinations were placed, this could be a vaccine reaction or an abscess from a cat bite. Seeing the vet is a good idea. The vet will clean up the area and determine what is going on, and may prescribe anti-inflammatories and/or antibiotics.
