Is my senior dog constipated? He hasn't pooped in two days.

i’m dogsitting this dog, smokey, for a week. he is 10 years old and he has some hip issues and takes pain meds for it. he hasn’t pooped since i got here two days ago. is there anything i can do to help?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! As long as Smokey is eating normally he will poop. Some dogs don’t have to go everyday. If he isn’t eating that would cause him to not poop as well. If that is the case, he needs to see a vet to find out why he isn’t eating. Good luck and kisses to Smokey!
