My dog was near construction. Is he safe from paint exposure?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 20 lbs

there’s a construction in my apartment building and we forgot to close one window. 15 minutes after they started working i remembered to go and close it and i checked and that window was NOT freshly painted or worked on. didn’t see anything on the floor. after i closed it my dog went there alone but considering this do u think he didn’t get into anything bad? the man working use a paint brush so i’d assume paint wouldn’t get inside the house. should i monitor his behavior? for how long?

Hi, from your description if the events I also think your dog should be fine. However I would keep an eye on him over the next 8-12 hours, make sure he is eating, drinking and not having any different symptoms when breathing.
