Cat woke up terrified with fluffed tail. Is she having bad dreams?

My 5 year old cat woke up tonight at 2am extremely quickly and was very scared of something, tail fluffed out, etc. I tried soothing her but even 30 minutes later she is still on edge. Is this likely a bad dream or should I be worried? She had a vet checkup 2 months ago and all blood and urine results checked out okay. She does have moderare stomiogingivitis and had 3 teeth removed about 2 months ago as well (she had 4 removed previous to that). I adopted Jackie off the street at 14 weeks. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 lbs
