Why does my dog have red bumps with white centers on his belly?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | neutered | 3 years and 2 months old | 70 lbs

My dog has two of these red bumps with white middles on his belly. They are about the size of a dime, probably a little smaller. Any idea what it is?

Skin lesions like this may indicate big bite, bacterial infections or pimples. Make sure to protect the areas from any licking and Sawyer may need to wear an elizabethan collar. These may resolve on their own. If they are still present in a few days or if they start looking worse, have him examined by the veterinarian. Best of luck.
