Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 years and 10 months old | 7 lbs
Our 9 year old cat has been stressed and stopped eating. We've had her to the vet for exams and tests and so far have found nothing physically wrong (no xrays yet). we've been syringe feeding her for the last 4 days, and seen her taking some water on her own. Her behavior and demeanor have seemed to improve somewhat, but I am concerned that I haven't seen much in the way of bowel movements in her litter box.

If she is not eating much, she will not produce as much stool. It could also indicate the problem is in her intestines. You should move onto the next diagnostic. I recommend an abdominal ultrasound to look at the intestines for signs of lymphoma or inflammatory bowel disease. It may also show evidence of liver disease or pancreatitis. Discuss these options with your veterinarian. Best of luck.
