Pet's info: Dog | Havanese | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 13 lbs
Hi there, I have been brushing my Havanese dogs teeth since he was a pup. He is almost two now. I brush with dog toothpaste and spend a good 10 mins making sure every tooth is scrubbed clean. He had his teeth cleaned in February, and still now even though I am brushing he is getting yellow on this teeth! It’s very frustrating because I work so hard to keep them clean, he even gets dental bones. I don’t know what to do or why this is happening!

Many times this is a genetic condition and is very common in small breed dogs. It sounds like you are doing an excellent job brushing his teeth. Keep up the good work! Here is a link which may contain some helpful information: https://www.avdc.org/ownersinfo.html You are doing the right things. Brush his teeth daily. Keep up with yearly teeth cleanings by the veterinarian. Dental bones help. You could also look into a prescription dental diet which may provide some benefit. Keep doing what you can. I hope this helps.
