My dog got too much Bravecto. Is an accidental overdose dangerous?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Eskimo Dog | Male | neutered | 1 year and 9 months old | 22 lbs

My 22 pound American Eskimo just got a Bravecto dose for a 44*88 pound dog because the boxes were labeled wrong. Will this make him sick?

According to the Bravecto website: "In safety studies, BRAVECTO was tested in healthy dogs and puppies at up to 5 times the recommended dose at 8-week intervals for 3 treatments. Therefore, no adverse effects are expected if dogs are inadvertently treated twice with the recommended dose within 12 weeks." Toby should be ok.
