Pet's info: Dog | Cairn Terrier | Male | neutered | 14 years and 6 months old | 23 lbs
My 15 year old cairn has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure in Oct of '17. He's steadily declining and is now at the point of trembling. It's this pain causing the trembling? What can be done to help him cross over?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I'm so sorry to hear of the difficulties Robert is going through. Trembling in dogs can be due to a variety of reasons, including pain, weakness/muscle fatigue, or another underlying medical issue. If you believe that his quality of life has declined and you want to help him move on, I would recommend reaching out to your regular veterinarian to see what services they offer, or a local mobile euthanasia veterinarian that may be able to come to your home. My thoughts are with you through this difficult time.
