How do I get a health certificate for my emotional support dog to fly?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Dogue de Bordeaux | Male | unneutered | 45 lbs

Hello! I am traveling with my dog (he is a Dogue de Bordeaux puppy -4 months old). He is an emotional support animal and I need to get a health certificate for him. Can I do this with you guys? Is there anything else I need to get from a vet to be able to fly with him aside the certification that says he is emotional support? Thank you very much for your time.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You have to take Ryo to a vet to get a health certificate. They have to examine him within 10 days of travel to issue a certificate. That is not something we can do through this website. A certificate for emotional support has to come from your personal doctor- not a veterinarian. All we can do is validate health status. Good luck and kisses to Ryo!
