My cat has a bleeding hole in his leg. Should I take him to the vet?

My cat has a hole in his leg and it is bleeding we have cleaned it and packed it but should we still take him to a vet?

Yes, I recommend to have Smokey examined by the veterinarian. It’s possible this is a ruptured abscess which needs antibiotics or that this is a wound which may need sutures or staples. Keep him from licking the area by having him wear an Elizabethan collar at all times. Have him seen by the veterinarian with in the next day. Best of luck.
