My dog ate a hair clip. What happens and should I check his poop?

i had an hair clip on my hair and i cannot find it anywhere (it was smaller than the one in the picture). although i don’t think charlie ate it (because he wasn’t next to me) i just want to make sure: if he did ingest it what will happen? should i monitor his stool to see if something passes? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

I am sorry to hear about your concern for Charlie! Hopefully it will turn up but monitor your pup’s behavior for the next few days. Watch for a decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting, abdominal pain, or difficult having a bowel movement and if these occur seek veterinary care.
