Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Female

My hamster is eating and seems totally fine except that its vigorously scratching the walls and not drinking water...her urine is fine..and she's not drooling around but perfectly active... Is it because i fed her too much cucumber...i even tried using a dropper to make her drink

Thanks for reaching out about Emilia. Hamsters are desert animal and are very efficient at absorbing water from arid foods. Feeding cucumber provides a lot of water and thereby decreased the need for water consumption. Eliminate cucumber from the diet to see if this induces water consumption. Good luck.
