My cat has a growing, bleeding lump. How to treat it without a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal Longhair | Female | 9 years old | 2 lbs

My cat has a tumor or that kind of thing (i.e outside of the skin) near the ribcase. This piece of flesh is getting bigger day by day, & yesterday she accidentally bite it with her teeth. Its started to bleed, but I gave some antibacterial liquid to stop bleeding. But in my location there is no vet center. Is it necessary to operate my cat? If not, what will be the side effects? Please help me what can I do to stop any kind of infection..

Poor Vutu! Unfortunately I would be concerned it could be a malignant tumor. I would take her into the closest vet to you to have this examined, diagnosed, and treated. If it's not treated and it is malignant, the cancer will spread and kill her. If you get it removed, there may be a chance any cancer could be fully cured. Best of luck.
