I put Vaseline on my kitten for lice. Is it safe? Did I harm her?

My 6wk old kitten has lice. I gave it a bath with the Dawn dishwashing soap. A couple hours later I put Vaseline all over it's body to help with moisture & remove more lice. Did I harm my kitten by putting Vaseline over it's body? I'm new at owning a kitten. Had her for three days now, and I really don't want anything bad to happen to her. Please help

Vaseline won't help with external parasites. Lice aren't a common issue in kittens, but fleas are. Vaseline could cause diarrhea if Sleepie licked it off. I would recommend that you have her checked out by a vet to identify the parasite you have seen and start an appropriate preventative for her small size and age.
