Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 10 months old

Today morning (6/21) my dog has been acting very not himself. Today I woke up around 8AM. When I woke up I saw that my dog was currently throwing up. He threw up 4x, vomit looked brown. He hasn’t been able to sleep, keeps moving constantly, abnormal and harsh heart beat, stays in a weird position for a long time (2&3 pics) , cries even when we don’t touch him, SHAKES A LOT, eats very little , and does not pee and poop much. This isn’t my dog, I’ve never seen this behavior on him please help me.

The sleeping and standing in abnormal ways is indicative of significant abdominal pain. Brown vomit is concerning for a GI obstruction or serious pancreatitis. I would recommend that Chato get checked out by a vet ASAP. After examination, the vet may recommend blood work and/or x-rays to determine what is the cause so they can discuss an appropriate treatment protocol.
