I don’t know if my beta fish is stressed or not. And how do they usually sleep?? Pet's info: Fish | Betta

Thanks for reaching out about Goldie and including photos. Betta fish are buccal breathers and will hang at the surface to gulp the oxygen rich water at the surface. If constantly hanging at the surface or when stops swimming bobs to the surface, that is an indication of a possible swim bladder disease. Then a veterinary visit is recommended. Fish usually sleep in the middle of the water column or behind furniture where they feel safe. Always when concerns, check water quality parameters with a test kit. Good luck.
