My 9-year-old cat throws up daily, but acts normal. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 years and 2 months old | 12 lbs

My 9 year old cat has been throwing up almost daily, however, when he does it is very sudden and almost surprisingly random. After he does throw up he acts completely normal as if nothing happened. He acts just as normal before he throws up as well.

This vomiting isn't normal, and it could be a sign Honey has a medical problem like kidney disease, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism causing it. I would take her into the vet in the morning for a health check, including a geriatric blood panel and urinalysis. Best of luck.
