Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered
My male cat is in heat and we've had to split him up from the female cat (who's not long had kittens) but he keeps meowing/yelling and his meows have gone all Croaky/deep and sometimes he just can't meow. I'm just a bit worried incase he's done something to his throat.

So male cats do not go into heat. They are always ready to be sexually active, and become more vocal around female cats who are in heat. Even if you mate Jasper, it will not stop this behavior. If you want to stop this behavior, have him neutered. It sounds like he is very vocal, and I would be concerned about his voice as well. Have him seen by a vet. Best of luck.
