Those red dots could be a few things including flea bites, an allergic reaction, skin irritation or the beginning of a bacterial infection. You can check him for fleas by using a flea comb around his lower back and tail area. You may try washing him in an oatmeal type shampoo as that can relieve irritation. Monitor the spots very closely. If they get worse or do not go away after two weeks, have him examined by the veterinarian. An omega-3 fatty acid supplement for pets can also help. Best of luck.

It could be a bacterial skin infection or possibly an allergic dermatitis. The lesions are very red and inflamed and I don't think a topical therapy is going to be enough to treat the problem so I think she should be seen by a vet to determine the exact cause and treat. She may need an antibiotic, anti-histamine, corticosteroid, and/or other medications. You could also bathe her with a medicated shampoo and see if that helps, too. Hope she gets better soon!

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Based on the photo you provided, it appears as though Gigi may be dealing with a skin infection. I would recommend using the below recommended products, which can all be found online quite easily. If there is no improvement or the infection worsens, then I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Gigi so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. 1. Douxo PS Chlorhexidine combination shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved 2. Malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily until resolved

Unfortunately, you can't tell the cause of those lesions by looks alone. Several different conditions will cause lesions that look the same. Those spots on Johnny could be several things including allergies, skin mites, flea bites, ringworm (which humans can get) or a bacterial infection. You can try adding in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing his diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. You can wash the lesions with soap once a day and rinse well (don't wash his whole body, just those spots). Protect the areas from licking or scratching. Treat for fleas. If they don't start looking better within about a week or if they get worse, have him examined by the veterinarian who may prescribe medications. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
