My cat has red skin and fur loss on her shoulder. Should I be worried?

My cat has a patch of red looking skin on the back of her shoulder! And some fur is coming off. She seems okay in her self. Should I be worried?

Hello, sorry to hear about Jez. You should indeed monitor that area for any persistent hair loss and redness. Also monitor for scratching or any other areas that he could have hair loss. If you note any of these then he should be evaluated by his veterinarian. Common causes of hair loss and redness include allergies, parasites, ringworm, or other metabolic skin diseases.
