There are lots of things that can cause this. Cancer is one, autoimmune disease is another, as well as an infection, feline acne, rodent ulcer or eosinophilic skin disease, etc. I would recommend that you have Jessica examined by a vet. They may need to take a biopsy to make an accurate diagnosis so that Jessica can be started on an appropriate treatment.
