Why does my dog have a blue ring around its eye and trouble opening?

Hi! My maltese 5 year old dog, Minnie recently went to the vet and she came back with very red and irritated eyes. The next day, she has gotten better but has a bit of trouble opening the right eye and has developed a blue/gray ring around the eye.

I would recommend that you have the vet check out that eye. It is very red and Minnie looks uncomfortable. I am not sure what could have caused it, but I am sure the vet can take a look and figure it out. They may need to use some tests to determine the cause so they can select an appropriate treatment.
