My kitten's eye is worse after Vitamin A drops. What should I do?

Hello, my kitten got little mucus on his eye, he's squinting his eye most of the time and his third eyelid is chowing a little bit. The vet said it's nothing serious and that I can give him vitamin A eye drops. I gave him the drops but his eye seems to bother him more after that. I want to ask whether Vitamin A eye drops is safe for kitten's eye? Thank you.

I highly doubt that it is a Vitamin A deficiency but since I am not familiar with diseases in your country it could be the case I suppose. I really think Vitamin A drops in the eye is not good. Oral supplementation would be better if vitamin A deficiency was the actual diagnosis. It is most likely conjunctivitis (pink eye) from a Chlamydia bacteria. Have antibiotics been used or only the Vitamin A drops? I suggest you go back to the vet a different medication - like an eye ointment called Terramycin.
