I have a 4 month old dog who had a very healthy diet. Was chasing my daughter around the property playing then the next morning was lethargic and would not eat anyting. He will drink water and I have been giving him electrolytes But unless it's water will not drink it I have to give him electrolytes or chicken broth orally with suringe. Still not eating and is getting thinner and lethargic

Ranger sounds very sick and he needs to see the veterinarian today. Losing weight and prolonged lethargy is not normal and is very concerning. It’s possible he has some sort of infection or got into some sort of poison. Something like an intestinal blockage is also possible. Without proper care, this could be something fatal. Early diagnosis generally gives the best prognosis so I recommend to have him examined today. Best of luck.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Liu. No, I do not think that his symptoms are related to teething. He sounds very sick. He really needs to see a veterinarian if at all possible. He needs to be examined. Fecal testing should be performed as infections are common in puppies. If he is not fully vaccinated, parvovirus is common. If he ate a foreign object such a piece of a toy, then he could have an obstruction in his stomach or intestines. In this case, x-rays would be recommended. Regardless of the cause of his symptoms, I worry that he is dehydrated by now. Try to offer small frequent amount of water until he can receive care. I hope this information helps. Good luck!
