Why does my dog only poop right next to me, even after being outside?

Why does my dog only poop around us even if she’s been outside for a while. If we bring her in she leaves a trail of poop all the way inside. And if she’s already outside, and we go outside she poops as soon as she sees us. But always poops right next to us. Like almost in our feet. We’re always home with her so it can’t be separation anxiety. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | unspayed | 3 years old | 12 lbs

Since Molly cannot talk, we will never know. Dogs are individuals and can be quirky just like humans. I recommend to go outside with her every time she potties to make sure that she uses the bathroom appropriately and so you don’t have a mess to clean up. If the stool appears abnormal or she appears to have problems with incontinence, I recommend to have Molly examined by her veterinarian. Best of luck.
