Why does my kitten have lumps under his skin after vaccinations?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hello. My kitten had his second lot of vaccinations on Tuesday last week. We’ve noticed 3 small lumps under his skin. One where the injection was and 1 under each of his front leg armpits.

You can see a local skin reaction where a vaccine was given, and that may be the cause of the lump there on Alfie. As for under his armpits, it may be swollen lymph nodes. Keep an eye on these lumps and if they get bigger or do not go down over the next few days, bring him back into the vet. Best of luck.
