My dog has a little bump on the side of his eye that had developed some type of scab on it. I put warm compressions on it to reduce the swelling, assuming it’s a stye, and the “scab” just fell off. Should I be concerned?

The area does look a bit irritated. If the swelling continues, the scabbed area worsens or doesn't heal, or there is discharge/the eye can't stay open then I would have it looked at by a vet to rule out injury/infection. Keeping the eye clear and preventing Odie from pawing at it with an Elizabethan (cone) collar is best.

That lesion could be something like a stye but it could also be a skin tumor. A stye will typically heal within a few weeks. If the lesion is still there in two weeks or if it is getting bigger, I recommend to have it examined by the veterinarian. I hope this helps.
