My dog's itchy paws are spreading. Does she need to see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Polly's feet have been irritated and itchy for 3 weeks and have gotten worse this past week and seems to be spreading up to her elbows. We have tried medicated shampoo, benadryl and baking soda baths, none of those helped. Is there something else that we can do to help her, or does she need to see a vet?

I am sorry to hear about Polly! This looks quite irritating and it sounds like you have tried most of the options we would recommend for at home treatment. I would recommend an exam at her veterinarian for the quickest most effective relief for her poor paws and elbows!
