Is probiotics good for dogs with canine gastritis?. How long does canine gastritis last? My puppy has been vomiting for 5 days now when given solids. And the vet told us to give him probiotics. Pet's info: Dog | Chow Chow | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 20 days old | 64 lbs

Probiotics are definitely helpful with gastritis. Simple gastritis usually lasts a few days. With this going on for 5 days, your pup may need some additional support such as prescription bland diet. I would recommend checking in with your vet every couple of days until this is under control.
