My dog has white eye discharge. Is it allergies from playing in grass?

My 2 year old dog has a v small amount of white discharge in each eyevwhich dries hard if left. I bathe them & they are fine for a couple of hours. He plays a lot in long grasses with other doggy friends? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 9 months old | 26 lbs

It could be Alfie has some allergies causing the white discharge. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. The vet can diagnose what is causing this discharge, and can treat him. Best of luck.
