Aria previously had liver failure of unknown origin about 3 yrs ago. Her alt was over 2,ooo. They did multiple liver tests, biopsies, etc. She miraculously recovered. The last few yrs she has been up and down in regards to lethargy. Previously I would give Denamarin and she would recover her energy. However this time it has not worked much. I had her bloodwork done about a month ago and all was normal. She is to go in on Monday to be boarded. Should I take her in sooner? Should I seek an holisti

The Denamarin should not be needed if her liver enzymes are normal. It is not for energy it is just to help support the liver. Giving it intermittently is just a waste of money. It won't hurt it but it's not necessary. I suggest you put her on a good supplement like this one. I think it will help her all around: ( https://www.allivet.com/p-5454-missing-link-recovery-detoxification-1-lb.aspx )

She may or may need to stay on it long term. The vet will likely just have you bring Dahlia back for some bloodwork in a month or so to recheck the liver values and see how they are. If they are better then they will likely discontinue the Denamarin after a while. It just depends on her body's response.
