Why is my dog lethargic despite normal bloodwork and Denamarin?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 6 years and 8 months old | 42 lbs

Aria previously had liver failure of unknown origin about 3 yrs ago. Her alt was over 2,ooo. They did multiple liver tests, biopsies,etc. She miraculously recovered. The last few yrs she has been up and down in regards to lethargy. Previously I would give Denamarin and she would recover her energy. However this time it has not worked much. I had her bloodwork done about a month ago and all was normal. She is to go in on Monday to be boarded. Should I take her in sooner? Should I seek an holisti

The Denamarin should not be needed if her liver enzymes are normal. It is not for energy it is just to help support the liver. Giving it intermittently is just a waste of money. It won't hurt it but it's not necessary. I suggest you put her on a good supplement like this one.
