Dachshund back pain after jumping, vet closed. What should I do?

My dachshund is 12 jumped of couch two hrs ago has swelling in his back he is in pain and walks wobbly my vet is not open till Monday I live in a small town. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | 12 years and 5 months old | 13 lbs

Oh no, that's not good. If there isn't an ER vet in your area, there may be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Rest Jay Jay as much as possible until you get him into a vet. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a leash, and bring him right back in when he's done. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Best of luck.
