My dog licked a stain outside. Is motor oil or antifreeze dangerous?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

last question about this (i promise :) ). just came back from our walk, he’s completely fine. i attached a picture of the place he might have licked it and the stain is gone (i know it looks stained but it was wayyy more before) and i think motor oil/antifreeze stains so this is a good sign that it was only dog pee! he’s probably free of danger :). thank you for all the help (especially to Ana M. in case she’s reading, you were very nice and helpful).

I am so happy to hear that my answers provided you with some help! I do not believe the stained area looks like motor oil or antifreeze. Obviously I cannot say for certain, but I suspect it was water, drainage or dog urine. Keep an eye on him, but he most likely will do just fine. Ask questions anytime!
