Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 2 months old | 10 lbs
Our cat is incredibly talkative and he's recently lost his voice. He seems to be fine, and the people we adopted him from says this happens reguarly because of how much he talks, but I was wondering if there's anything I can do to possibly make him more comfortable while is throat/voice box is healing

Poor Chatter! Feeding a diet aimed at skin health will actually be beneficial to the lining of the throat as well. Royal Canin and Nutro are both good diets that would be beneficial. Giving him an additional omega 3 fatty acid supplement for cats will also help to decrease inflammation. Lastly, it's possible a virus is also at play here and could be causing some inflammation in the throat. Since this is your first time experiencing this, it may be worthwhile to have him examined and see if the doctor suspects a virus is the real cause. Some of these viruses may respond to cat supplement called Lysine. It's always best to gather information and then move forward with any preventive measures. I hope this helps.
