Is it safe to give my dog antihistamines for hayfever symptoms?

My bulldog seems to be suffering with hayfever runny nose ect can I give him priton or another antihistamine. Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Male | neutered | 9 months and 6 days old | 48.5 lbs

As long as the discharge from the nose is clear, then yes, you can try an antihistamine. Priton (chlorpheneramine) is not the best. You are better off using loratadine - 10mg by mouth once a day (should be one tablet).
