Cat just had kittens: Is bleeding, small size, or early eyes normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 12 lbs

Hello. I need help. Our cat princess just had another litter of kittens a few days ago. Is it normal for her to still be bleeding? Also is it normal for the kittens to be so small? Is it normal for some of them to have already opened there eyes? One she had was still born. She has been meowing alot and the blood is bright red and sticky. But not alot. Should we be worried?

Small spots of blood at this stage would be quite normal and although it is difficult to assess size from the picture if they are active and eating this is a good sign. Eyes generally should not be open until at least a week and i would recommend a vet check
