Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Male | neutered | 6.5 lbs
Chihuahua was fine at noon when I came home from lunch, 15 min later he runs into the hallway with his back arched and staggering zigzag with his eyes bugged out and scared. Tried to take him to my vet but they were closed for lunch, came back home and set him on the carpet and he was fine again. My niece watched him the rest of the day with no more episodes. He’s approximately 7yrs old and 6-7lbs (slightly overweight, looks like a potato). I found one video on YouTube with no resolution.

I still recommend to have Chico examined today. That abnormal behavior could have been caused by a seizure, a heart condition or a low blood sugar episode (which is HIGHLY abnormal in an adult dog and often indicate liver disease). The doctor will need to check some bloodwork to look for various causes of seizures and liver abnormalities. They will also check the heart and then discuss their findings and your options. Best to play it safe.
