My cat's hard lump burst and is draining. Is she in pain or sick?

I'm unsure what this is, she has a vet appointment tomorrow. It was a hard lump then when I came home from work I found this. Anything I can do until the vet appointment? Is it hurting her? Could she get really sick? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 9 lbs

Hello. This is a cat bite abscess that has ruptured. There is really nothing you need to do until the appointment. Kelly probably feels a whole lot better now that the infection has drained out of the abscess. When you see the vet, antibiotics will be prescribed & Kelly will heal soon.
