Pet's info: Dog | Cockapoo | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 3 months old | 22 lbs
My 5 year old cockapoo seems to have hurt his back or legs? At night time he seems to be crying/whimpering. I believe this to be because he can’t get around the house as easily, jump up on the bed etc without hurting himself and therefore he is crying more because he is missing out than in pain. He seems fine in himself, he is eating and drinking, his tail is wagging and still reacts as normal. Still overly excitable when greeting at the front door but cry’s when jumps up. How can I help him?

Poor Dave! I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a leash, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
