My cat is jaundice, took him to the vet and they ran blood test. His liver levels are high and low. What medication can I get for his dr for this? He needs an ultrasound but I can’t afford that right now. So I’d like to start him on the liver meds.

There is a medication called Denamarin that provides general liver function support and can decrease inflammation in the liver. When families can't afford further testing, I often start this medication and recheck bloodwork values in a month to see if they are going up or down. It's still not a cheap medication, and you still need follow up exams and bloodwork but it's less than an ultrasound right off the bat. It also would cure anything, If Denamarin doesn't help, anti-inflammatories and antibiotics can be tired and blood work repeated. I'd talk through these options with your vet and see what they want to start with based on all the other information they have with her exam, etc. Wishing you the best of luck.
