Betty woke up being her normal self today however as the day went on she was acting a little weird. Her poop his morning was solid and brown but later on in the day, she was acting lethargic, her stomach was making noise and her poop was wet, mucusy and looked like it had some cranberry coloring in it. It didn’t look like blood but we haven’t changed her food, added anything new, or changed environment. We took her on another walk after resting and she’s becoming energetic slowly. Still worried.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Betty. If she is starting to feel a bit better and is eating and drinking normally, then it should be fine to monitor her. If her symptoms do not resolve or she becomes lethargic again, then I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. She will likely need fecal testing. Parasites and other intestinal infections are common causes of gastrointestinal upset in young dogs. I hope this information helps!
