My dog has a very dark liquid coming from his penis. It seems to happen when he is sleeping. He has been on fluconazole for about 5 months for valley fever and it is much darker than it was when this happened a few months ago. He is a Bullmastiff, is not neutered, and is about 5 years old. Should I be concerned? I mentioned the liquid to his vet during our last visit but she did not understand the liquid was dark and not the yellowish thicker liquid I have previously seen.

I would recommend that you have him checked out by the vet. The vet should do a thorough exam of the prepuce, a prostate exam, and collect a urine sample to help determine where the fluid could be coming from and what is causing it to be dark. Blood, infection, some immune disorders or dehydration can cause urine to be very dark.
