My kitten swallowed a burr and is gagging. Is it an emergency?

Please help, I think one of my kittens may have accidentally swallowed a burr tracked in on his moms stomach. He was born may 25th and he’s been fine up until now, he keeps gagging, “screaming”, scratching at his face, balling up, and sticking his tounge out. I’m really worried, I don’t hav money to pay for the vet or surgery if he needs it. His name is mash.

Poor Mash! He really does need to see a vet immediately. I would see if you can borrow money from family and friends to afford the vet, you can see if the vet takes payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit. Please take him into a vet now.
