My dog is peeing blood after fungal meds. Is it bladder stones?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My dog has just finished a round of fungal medication for a skin infection and has today started weeing blood (she finished the medication yesterday) (she also has a history of bladder stones) should I be worried about the blood or is it the medication passing in her system?

Hi there. Anti-fungal medications would not cause bloody urine, so this is likely a separate problem. She may have a recurrence of her bladder stones, a UTI, or some other issue. I would recommend taking her to the vet for an exam to determine the cause of the blood and see what kind of treatment is needed.
