My cat is constipated, straining, and grooming poorly. What to do?

Baby cat appears constipated. Passing a few small bites of feces with straining. I noticed a change in his grooming 2 or 3 months ago when his fur stopped looking as good as it had. Now I am worried. Thoughts? Thank you, Barbara Quigley.

Poor Baby. Try giving him canned food and adding water to it to see if that helps, as dehydration is the number one cause of constipation in cats. If this does not help within 24 hours, I would take him into the vet. I hope this helps, Barbara.
