Pet's info: Dog | Labradoodle | Male | neutered | 60 lbs
My dog got some staples after receiving a laceration on his neck. Previously we asked if the swelling that occured after was normal, to which we received a response declaring his injury a seroma; however, his skin has continued to swell and is now very red. We have a vet appointment on Friday to remove the staples, and thought we'd ask about the swelling then; however, since it's so red should we try and have an appointment sooner? Photos are, in order: a week ago, last night, today.

I would get him in sooner than Friday to have that seen. The fluid can be drained with a needle so that the swelling can go down without compromising the suture line. I worry that if it continues to swell, the skin could slough and leave him with a large open wound. Call your vet tomorrow and find out if he can be seen.
